A very short newsletter this week — just a few reminders!
Japanese BBQ – This Saturday (21 November)
In conjunction with the Niwaki Open Day, we’re hosting our very own Japanese BBQ.
Saturday 21 November From 11:30am Bring the whole family! Don’t forget to book to secure a table. |
Compton McRae Bakery
Our bakery is now in full swing! Chris, our resident baker, is in early each morning creating white and wholemeal loaves, seeded bread, our Compton McRae sourdough, fresh baguettes
…and we’re adding new items all the time.
Pop into the deli to try them, tell us what you think – and if you miss out, place an order and we’ll set one aside for you.

Late-Night Shopping – Thursday 4 December
Join us for an evening of Christmas cheer, with canapés and Bill’s mulled wine (both on Bill!), tastings from Compton & McRae and some of our own suppliers
Come for a warm, festive evening out – perfect for everyone.
The best way is to go file, download, save to your laptop, fill it out old school style and drop it in or send it back as a scan.
We will also have them available in the shop.
please note some prices are subject to change.
Call, email, or visit the shop to place your order or to chat with us about how we can help your celebrations – from make-at-home canapés to easy freezer meals for when the whole family is home.

Old Bookshop Pop-Ups
In the Old Bookshop you will continue to see a variety of pop ups – for a couple more days we have Loom Designs and Melissa Hurst Ceramics…
Until end of November we welcome New Romantic and Rose & Lyons; and look out for who we are hosting in December
Upstairs @ Compton McRae in December you’ll find Joanna Jacobs with her amazing range of vintage clothing, accessories and homewares.
In Other News…
The Ashes – Good luck… but also bad luck… If I’m looking a little tired on Friday, it’s because I’ve been trying to catch the Aussies thrashing the Poms and Mr. Bazball…
Looking forward to the next five weeks!
See you all soon
Best wishes, Bill & The Compton McRae Team
